This an invitation to all the community if you would like to contribute in a coding capacity or artwork such as wallpapers etc then leave a message here and I will make contact - I want Anitaos to be a totally open project.
How are you adding programs? Could you make a post here or a Sourceforge wiki page so that I can help and others in the future?New programs added and comment made in wiki regarding strange entries in JWM menu when installing some programs which require editing with menu entry maker.
I like the thorough list.Continuing on from last posting Anitaos important tools direct from Puppy Linux
I am not sure how helpful these two links are, but at least they give you something to start with.I don't know if this is the correct place to ask this question but I've already looked through the other forums and couldn't find any help.
AnitaOS seems like the perfect OS for my old Compaq Presario 1200 laptop. In fact, I was able to successfully install it to the hard disk and it seems to run pretty good. My problem is that it doesn't recognize my USB wireless adapter (Edimax EW-7811Un). I tried doing the Autoprobe function through the entire list of included drivers. A lot of them seem to load but none of them recognize the adapter. This laptop does not have a wired ethernet adapter so I have no way of connecting to the internet. I do have a driver disk that came with the adapter that has linux drivers (RTL8192CU) on it but I can't figure out how to install them. It has a file called Makefile but when I try to run it as a command it says "Command not found". (It's probably obvious by now that I'm a Linux newbie).
Can someone give me some direction on how to install this driver?
Thanks for your support Devyn your wallpapers are fantastic.
