How do you survive doing anything with that hardened kernel, I installed it once and had a bunch of stuff that didn't work even after having enabled some sysctl settings?
i am not sure, i havent had any problems with it knocks on wood or Arch installation that i use.

my Arch has been 100% stable. once i messed it up, fat fingered "chowned my /home/vile/Desktop" and icons disappeared but it was easy to fix.

I had issues with Steam and Heroic not launching and once I got that fixed my games still wouldn't launch. So I'm assuming you don't user either of those?

i use Lutris and Steam, no problems with those, except fc26 which needs Anti-cheat program.

i play Valheim (steam) and Diablo 2 resurrected : rotw (Lutris)

Welcome to the bunch!

Welcome, welcome.

Sit down, kick back, put your feet up, crack open a 'tinny' (as our members from Oz would put it!).....and soak up the atmosphere.

They're a good bunch here. Perhaps not quite as overly-technical as the LQ.org crew, but that's no bad thing. It's very much a "fun" atmosphere, here at Linux.org.....and something of a "home from home" for many.

Enjoy.

Mike. ;)

Yeah, what he said ^^^^, from one of those Aussies...who's drinking a tinnie, except it's in glass so it's a stubbie.

G'day and welcome. ;)

I thought a 'stubby' was the shorter/fatter glass bottles, the ones without the longer neck?

My Aussie slang isn't the greatest, and my memory is potentially hampered.

They are, but hold the same quantity 375 ml, 13 oz. I prefer the taste out of glass.
