this is cloned install, and it is about a year old.
original installation is maybe 2 years old.

i survived AUR calamity.

I did too but I reinstalled anyways because I prefer to be safe rather than to be maybe be sorry later, as now I have a system that hasn't installed anything through the AUR.

How do you survive doing anything with that hardened kernel, I installed it once and had a bunch of stuff that didn't work even after having enabled some sysctl settings?

i am not sure, i havent had any problems with it knocks on wood or Arch installation that i use.

my Arch has been 100% stable. once i messed it up, fat fingered "chowned my /home/vile/Desktop" and icons disappeared but it was easy to fix.

I had issues with Steam and Heroic not launching and once I got that fixed my games still wouldn't launch. So I'm assuming you don't user either of those?

i use Lutris and Steam, no problems with those, except fc26 which needs Anti-cheat program.

i play Valheim (steam) and Diablo 2 resurrected : rotw (Lutris)

Arch Linux is so hard to install!

it were hard but #archinstall script made it easy. its easier than OpenBSD, i hate to make "partitions" for OpenBSD. disc labels and stuff ...
