I'm on Mate 1.26. I am using the Blue Submarine theme modified to have the window title (is that what it is called?) to be left justified. In the window that has the focus the window title letters are in white, which I don't like because the title bar color is light (white would be good on a dark colored title bar). Is there a way to change the color of the window titles to something dark?

Go to >Apperance. Then click Customize. A second window will open and be at the "Controls" section. Click >Window Borarders.

@Alexzee Yeah, that's where I selected "Spidey-left" to get the title left justified, so I don't want to change it there. I'm hoping someone knows some css trick or whatnot.

EDIT
So I went and checked it out anyway, and found out that "Raleigh" will left justify with black text, so I went with that, even though I'm not crazy about the style of the minimize, maximize, and close buttons. Thanks for the suggestion. I'm still hoping that somebody knows of a css trick though.

You're welcome.

I know you most likely don't want to change your theme as I have had Blue Submarine myself and like it. However, often times by changing the theme you can also get along with a different theme a cool window boarder or text color.

There are a boat load over on mate-look.

Creating and Cascading Style Sheets require using variables. Interesting to say the least.

Experienced Linux user's in this area that come to mind are @KGIII , @f33dm3bits, @JasKinasis and @dos2unix.

Another idea (my friend runs Mint) he suggested to go to the Software MGR and select the MS fonts.

I haven't messed with desktop themes in a very, very long time. So I'm completely out of the loop.
I've been using dwm for donkey years now. Theming dwm is just a case of setting some foreground and background colours in C code and then rebuilding and reinstalling dwm and logging out and back in again to see any changes. Other desktop environments and wm's are completely out of my wheelhouse ATM.
I haven't done any HTML/CSS for a good few years either, so I'm not sure what to suggest.
