I am wondering if I access my OneDrive account via Zorin, can I copy the files to a physical hard drive to get them out of onedrive? Or do I have to try to complete this via WIndows before I remove that from my workstation?

I see no reason why that shouldn't be possible. All you're doing there is simple file-manipulation, and such ought to work on ANY platform.

Quite possibly you've already discovered these during your searching, in which case I apologise for 'duplication'. At a quick glance, the set-up looks like it ought do what you want.
Just a thought, FWIW. The other thought I had.....Zorin uses Nautilus, doesn't it? (I know it used to, at any rate). AFAIK, you ought to be able to set-up a synced drive that then shows in the left-side panel..?
You've probably tried this already... Others will be able to address this more fully; I haven't used Nautilus for many years.

I do is to set my various cloud a/cs to run as web-apps from their browser clients, using Chrome. They can be set to show up as separate windows on the desktop, and I can then launch them from individual Menu entries. This works well for me, but.....it wouldn't suit everybody.
