I am currently on windows 11, but im trying to switch to parrot OS or Kali Linux. Im having trouble locating my hard drive in order to install. I have experience with kali, pop_os!, and some parrot os in college. All of my previous installs have been on a diffrent computer.

I have tried messing with BIOS setting, pictures are my current settings. Im using DD mode since ISO justs brings up the gnu command line. DD at least let's me do live for parrot. I tried kali install since I had some experience but as the screen shot shows it only let's me install to the USB im using to install. Im lost on what to do.

In the last screenshot it says "Optane with RAID", but it only shows one internal disk. That's odd. Try changing that to AHCI/Sata to see if the ISO detects it then.

Go to UEFI settings, under power find and disable windows fast boot/quickstart, do a ful power off, insert USB and switch on

This worked. If anyone is having trouble like I was to change the sata, boot into windows > windows icon + r > msconfig > boot > safe boot (minimal) > ok, restart and hit F2 to go into bios > on main screen, select Ctrl + s to display the option to change SATA.

You don't have to edit it to write 'solved'. There's actually a drop-down that lets you mark the thread as solved.

I'll do it for you, this time.
