I have bought Asus vivobook and installed Linux mint 21.2. Unfortunately it doesnt have wifi driver support yet so I bought TP Link WN 725N wifi usb. It connected to router out of the box but the speed is extremely low and I keep getting connection timed out error sometimes. The usb led green keep blinking if that info is relevant. I have a 20mbps connection which I get on all device but here i only get around 2mbps. The driver seems to be r8188eu. I have Linux 6.2 kernel.

you could try unplugging the device, running

dmesg -w

then plugging the device back in. fair warning: dmesg will output a lot of info. you should just need the messages that show up after plugging the adapter back in. you could look and see if there are any errors or warnings in those messages that might help troubleshoot the slow connection.

Hi, you do not tell us which distribution you are using, so
you may be running on a default RTL 8188 driver, the EUS version needs to have the correct divers installed
