I've been busy today, but there was an article published earlier. The article is about the ping command.

Do you want to ping using IPv4 or IPv6? Well, you can (often) do so. However, sometimes a domain will opt to not respond. Sometimes a domain will only respond on IPv4 or IPv6 but not both. It's a bit of a hodgepodge and our IPv6 adoption rates are kinda low considering how long we've had IPv6 as an option.

Yeah, it's hard to remember an IPv6 address - but there sure are a lot of 'em. We've assigned the available IPv4 addresses and passed that point quite a while ago.


So, ping away... Like I said, not all of 'em will respond on both and some may not respond at all.
