Can someone point me to some good instructions on how to install Timeshift? I'd like to do it from the Terminal, if possible. I don't see a tutorial on this site. I tried ArchWiki but it just says to install it. And Bleeping Computer doesn't even mention it.

Thanks @Condobloke!

On your Mint, the GUI (graphical user interface) is already installed. Menu - System - Timeshift.

The CLI (command line interface aka Terminal) instructions can be derived from opening a Terminal and issuing

Code:
man timeshift

I would advocate using the GUI.

Linux Lite have a good tute here https://www.linuxliteos.com/manual/tutorials.html#timeshift

We have two tutorials here -

Mine, poorly maintained, needs revision one of these decades lol)

https://www.linux.org/threads/timeshift-similar-solutions-safeguard-recover-your-linux.15241/

...be warned, it runs 31 pages.

and one by Staff writer Jarret he started 6 months after mine, not having seen mine

Note that it is strongly advised to store snapshots on an external drive. If you store them on your current drive and the drive goes kaput, they are of no use to you.
