Hello all,
I am a newbie in Kali Linux. I have a Rog G14 2022 and I would like to dual boot Kali Linux and Win 11.

When I install the Kali (weekly version or normal one), it stops working on "Detect Network Hardware". So I press ctrl c and finally I can choose the wifi driver in the list. I google mt7922 (G14 lan card) and someone said I can use 7921e driver but it does not work. I choose 7921-common and some other drivers but it cannot continue the installation.

So I think I need to download the firmware in Win 11 to my usb drive first. But I don't know what files/format should I download. So what can I do?

I also have a Alfa network usb. But it cannot detected. I know I need to download the firmware in the Linux but now my laptop is offline in the installation procedure.

Thanks.

Welcome to the forums, unless you are experienced at using Linux and competent at using the terminal and its commands you should not even be attempting to use Kali

from the Kali docs.
"As the distribution’s developers, you might expect us to recommend that everyone should be using Kali Linux. The fact of the matter is, however, that Kali is a Linux distribution specifically geared towards professional penetration testers and security specialists, and given its unique nature, it is NOT a recommended distribution if you’re unfamiliar with Linux or are looking for a general-purpose Linux desktop distribution for development, web design, gaming, etc."

on a W10 or W11 machine to install any Linux you need to disable windows quick start and safe boot in the UEFI/BIOS

Now a little advice.
There are about half a dozen Pen-Testing distributions of Linux, most are difficult to install if you do not understand how to find and use the terminal to install additional drivers, you can go to the distribution official forums, but don't expect to get any help with basic installation questions, even on the one I am a member of, we will only point you in the direction to go, and still expect you to know where to look and what to do.
Professional pen-testers do not usually install their working distribution direct to their hard drive [unless it is a dedicated machine] for their own security, they will install their working testing distribution either to a persistent pen-drive or a virtual box.

@hahalowb
just a couple of quick points
if you kept your windows and installed your Linux in a duel boot situation, be prepared for Windows updates ,at some point to break your Linux boot [plenty of information on how to fix by searching "windows broke my Linux"]
If you are problem free with your Pop installation, and haven't as yet done so, please install and run "Timeshift" [or similar] back up application.
Finally, if you're now happy with no further questions, please go to your first post and edit the title to include "SOLVED"

many thanks, good luck
Bwiz.

Keep in mind, Pop OS doesn't install grub for dual-booting, you have to do it manual way
