✅ SOLVED

What finally fixed it:

1. In Windows 11 → Disabled Fast Startup
(Search for "Power Options" → Choose what the power buttons do → Uncheck "Turn on fast startup")

2. Used the driver from this GitHub repo that @GatorsFan suggested:
https://github.com/OnlineLearningTutorials/mt7902_temp

After following the instructions in the repo and rebooting, the MT7902 WiFi adapter is now detected and working perfectly on Kali.

Thanks to @GatorsFan for the link!

Hello,

I installed Kali Linux (latest version) in dual boot with Windows 11. Ethernet works fine, but the built-in wireless WiFi adapter is not working at all.

Problem:
  • No WiFi networks are visible
  • No wireless interface shows up in iwconfig or Network Manager
  • I already tried installing drivers from a few GitHub repositories but still the same issue.

What I have tried:

Diagnostic outputs:

(Is it just me noticing an uptick in topics posted on the Kali forum? Maybe I'm just paranoid.)

Have a look here as well
Thanks a lot @GatorsFan!
The repo you linked worked perfectly for me.
I'm now on Kali Linux (dual-boot with Windows) and my MT7902 WiFi adapter is working fine with this driver.
Just wanted to confirm that this solution is still working as of April 2026.
Appreciate the help!

Haha, you're not paranoid
Just solved my MT7902 WiFi issue. Turns out it was a combination of disabling Fast Startup in Windows + using the driver from that mt7902_temp GitHub repo GatorsFan linked.
I'll update the original post with the exact steps that worked for me so others don't have to go through the same pain.
Thanks for the chuckle!
