Morning all. My next quest is to have a desktop shutdown icon with a 15 or 20 second delay. It is more for my wife rather than me. You see she plays games of an evening and the instant shutdown leaves he in a dark room. I am able to have the icon but i am unable to have the delay. Thanks.

Have a look at Qshutdown .....you will find it in Software Manager

If it works for you...good !

If it does not...uninstall it.

If it does work, just go to the menu and find it there.....right click on the Qshutdown name and select 'Add to Desktop'.

I got around this a few years ago by making a bash script, and then making a desktop icon for the bash script.

It was basically a sleep, followed by a shutdown.
