In addition to my previous thread, I found out that I can't reinstall or fresh install Linux Mint on my acer Nitro 5 because it has RST. I went into the bios and I can not seem to change this setting. It won't let me select it. I tried with two empty HHD drives and with the current drive and even tried without a drive. No way Jose. Is there a work around for this Machine?

hello Im trying to disable RST to install ubuntu, in intel (R) rapid storage tech it's saying that rapid storage is disabled and the enable button is grey so i cant press it, can someone help me turn off RST?

The first answer or suggestion in that site did work. I found a video on youtube here:

. The second one is not very clear on how to go by doing all that and sounds too complicated.
