Several - AntiX - Tiny Core - Slitaz - Fatdog64 - & no doubt many more will also, these are just some that I have personally used.

Puppy can load everything to ram.

Load into RAM + zRAM = 16GB RAM or higher. Also longer boot times since the OS has to be loaded into memory and start from there. If the OS started its loading from an external USB stick, one of the "/dev/sdX" definitions is lost. That's why I don't like it. Clonezilla could do it, that's how I know. Snal Linux could also start from RAM but that's a bit too heavy on my computer and it's not for beginners nor enthusiasts.

I think the live session loads everything in to Ram.
