New Raspberry Pi 500

Has anyone tried one of these?

I have no personal experience with them. What I can state is that this isn't anything new. They've been doing this for a while. People have been happy with the product to the point where they keep the product line going. So, it's definitely financially advantageous to do so.

You will be limited in what you can improve. You can't do things like add more RAM. There's no upgrading the CPU. So, you're stuck with what you get. You can increase the storage as needed, so there's that.

But, folks have been selling this product for years.

Basically, its an extended Pi 5 built inside a keyboard. The keyboard has extra USB ports and the Pi itself has a HAT that allows for an NVMe. They did the same thing with the Pi 4 making a Pi 400.
I have the Pi 400 and maybe the Pi 500, but not the plus version with the NVMe. They do seem nice, but I'm not too keen on the regular Pi keyboards.
I do like the idea of their new USB Flash Drives.

I have no experience with the 500+ (actually, no hands-on experience with -any- pi, though it's on my bucket -list to get some form of pi and give it a whirl) but I have to say that, as long ago as the Commodore 64, I thought it was a bad idea to have the computer in the keyboard. I want to be able to move the keyboard around on my desk, get it out of the way at times, maybe even kick back and have it on my lap. Even just a single USB cable hinders that and adding in video, power, network, sound, etc cables means it'll be a PITA to move it around.
