OP,

You haven't answered my question in post 13.

Some folks just aren't interested in taking the small amount of time to learn the basics of how Linux works and without that a bad first Linux experience and that's cool. :cool:

Linux isn't for everyone and that's proven time and time again on Linux forums.

@The Duck
No, @kc1di has a valid point, there is a new breed of trolls that are unlikely old fashioned ones who used to troll so that it's fun for anyone reading.

This new type, trolls with fake support questions, fake rants, fake reviews and what not, they're funny only to themself.

It's very difficult to separate them from regular people who are new to Linux who may appear like trolls but are not.

I think he may be a troll. notice a very similar thread on the debian forum.

I think you're right...the claims made didn't make sense...even fooled the Mods.

I don't think members who challenge trolls on this Forum should be threatened with suspension, either.

Dave, when you get a chance maybe you could DM me a link to that? TIA.

Hardly. Members might consider a small possibility that the OP is genuinely embarrassed that he has realised his mistakes and is reluctant to reply.

...potential trolls, and there are other means of Reporting potential trolls to Staff, that do not involve Members taking it on themselves to fill the roles of judge, jury and executioner. Hhmmm?

In any event, I am locking this Thread for now, as it is currently a waste of human resources, in the absence of civil input from the OP.

If the OP wishes to provide same, he can DM me, or other Staff Member, and it can be considered to re-open the Thread.

Any Staffer can do this, should the need arise, so timezones are not an issue.

Thanks, as always, to our valued Helpers for their input.
