Please take note: If you already have LM21.2 installed, and fully updated.....the upgrade to LM21.3 will come out shortly via the UPDATE MANAGER. In that case there will probably be an addition to EDIT in that update manager, where it will be done for you, automatically. This is not definite, but it is the usual practice.A Few days wait will tell the whole story
 
Yup. I'll wait until the simple method comes out. As the current version is still supported, you're not risking missing security updates or anything like that. So, I'll wait for the easy way. It'll show up as an option. Installation will be a few clicks.
 
Ooohh... tempting.

You know what I'm like with running multiple distros. ;)

If you have recent hardware, wait for the edge ISO because the kernel is not up to date (5.15).
 
I'll wait till 22.1 comes out as 21.1 is supported till 2027.

Greetings, So, I successfully upgraded from Linux Mint 20.3 to 21 using: https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=235992. blog 4378 worked to get me from 20.3 to 21, but when I attempted the upgrade from 21 to 21.3
Error Occured- Details are provided while upgrading to Mint Virginia
In an attempt to upgrade from mint 21 to Mint 21.3 I use the command
“sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade”
My laptop completed the reading, building dependency tree, and reading state information, then either error messages about duplicate files. Then the system got stuck in the message:

“Waiting for cache lock: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock-frontend. It is heWaiting for cache lock: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock-frontend. It is held by process 65207 (synaptic)”
Hardware Model: Latitude E5440
