For those that like to stay on the cutting edge of kernel development 6.1 was released.

For the first time some code was written in Rust.
I wouldn't use this on production machines just yet.

Been running it since about 10 am this morning, Dave. peebee - one of our most prolific devs - built it around 7.30 this morning using the 'kernel-kit' over at WoofCE on Github, along with all the necessary aufs patches for correct Puppy operation.

So far.....so good. Seems pretty stable to me.

You've got to bear in mind that we don't use specially-crafted, distro-specific "optimized" kernel builds.....we always use bog-standard mainline kernels, as they come off the production line. Puppy is probably one of the very few distros that actually does this.

Mike. ;)

Mike your going to talk me into using puppy yet :)

Two things that prevented me from using Puppy: VPN and fcitx.
Since the day KG talked about using extension for VPN, it's one less.
Now all my desktops (3) and laptop (32 bit) are dual booted with Easy and MX.
Easy is now my daily driver swimming in the evil of the internet.

Yup. That's still how I do it. I can have three browsers with isolated activity - all appearing to come from different geographical locations.
