KVRT for Linux: (kaspersky virus removal tool)

• Compatible with Linux Mint 22.3 Cinnamon — you are good to go

• Runs a one-time on-demand scan to detect and remove malware, viruses and other threats

• No installation required — simply download, make the file executable and run the scan





Quick setup steps for Linux Mint:

1. Download the KVRT file from the link above

2. Open your Terminal and navigate to the download folder

3. Make it executable by running: chmod +x kvrt

4. Run the scan: ./kvrt

(In Linux Mint, simply right click on the downloaded file, and select Properties >>> then select Permissions and at the bottom mark the "Allow executing file as a program box" with a tick. Then double click the file There is an agreement to tick three times, then Start Scan)


The end result of the scan on my pc was as below:
