I've actually been waiting for the kernel to support the new CPUs from Apple, but I think I may end up going another route. I've put off buying new hardware for a while now - and I love buying new hardware. (Reality is, I guess everything I have is still 'fast enough'.)

But, I found this video in my recommended feed... It's very disappointing.

 


Never used anything apple and proud of it.

Apple used to be much more geek/consumer friendly. Their OS is effectively a Unix OS, sharing a bit with Linux. I really like their iPods and iPads, though I don't own a current iPad.

I did own a MacBook Pro for a very brief time. I never got to unbox it before my daughter absconded with it. (I just never replaced it after that.) At the time, it was a fairly Linux-friendly piece of hardware.
