Is there any way to speed up data loading outside of my home network?

I have a UGreen NAS with Plex installed to play my music files through Plexamp. Whenever I am outside of my home network it takes Plexamp 60-90 seconds to load the server data and make the app usable. My internet connection is 1gbps symmetrical so I feel like that shouldn't be the issue but I could be wrong. Is there any way to speed this up at all or is this just the cost of hosting my own data?

I will just talk of Internet speeds, these depend on several factors
the speed of your own connection
the speed of the server you are downloading from
and the load on the WWB network [available unused bandwidth]
example you may have a 1gb connection but your ISP server may throttle down when busy [this is normal] or the download server may restrict speeds to maintain a maximum number of connections,
Another thing that can reduce your receiving speed is the number of servers in the transmission chain, the ideal is direct but in practice you could be routing through any number of servers in almost any country
