I have a SSD drive where I currently have windows 10 and a few other applications and then I have a HDD where I have most of my other files. To switch to Linux (The distro I have in mind is Linux Mint), do I need to clear both drives or just the SSD? Also, two games I enjoy playing have a bronze rating on ProtonDB so I was considering having a Windows partition. If so, can I get any help on doing that? Thanks in advance.

There is an option called dual boot where you install Linux alongside windows on the same drive. In the Linux mint installer should be an option where you can shrink the windows partition and install mint on the same drive.

Right. Would I need to reinstall games to run them in the proton version of steam? Almost all of my games and software are on my HDD and all of them were downloaded in Windows 10.
