@john2025 , this is no sort of personal attack, I do not do that, ask anyone. It is commendable if you wish to join and straight away jump into helping people. But if you provide misinformation on my watch, I have to act on that.
When Daniel Richter wrote grub-customizer in 2007 it may have had some merit, but he has not maintained it regularly over the years, and it long ago passed its shelf life.
Ubuntu and Linux Mint stopped housing it in their repositories years ago because of the problems, and why Debian still does is beyond my knowledge.
