You may, like me, sometimes be unsure what you can install aside from the apps that appear at the front and top of software browsers like Discover and the Snap Store. If you know where to look, though, there are hidden software gems everywhere.

So this weekend, why not put that Linux machine to use with some good apps? I found a few I thought were worth installing at least once, ranging the artistic to totally practical.

I've played with two of them and know about one of them.

I don't use a clipoard manager (outside of the two we naturally have available). They end up a cluttered mess. I end up never really adding them to my process.

I work with repetitive text everyday. Quite handy to have for that kind of stuff. Although xdotool is now taking some of the load off of CopyQ. I recently implemented xdotool to write out emails for me for work. Quite nice to have all these tools. Saves alot of time and stress.

You can add a shortcut key in the preferences of CopyQ to bring up the clipboard and just type the first few letters of what your looking to copy and paste. Kind of like the start menu in many distros when your looking for a program to open.
