How to use Appimage correctly with .desktop

Well, I'm reinforcing the question because of Tahoma2D, since it contains external dependencies through attached folders in the “Tahoma2D” folder next to the appimage in question. When I want to create the .desktop for the appimage, and when I start it, the error “Undefined or Empty:” appears. Do you know if I can use those dependencies in the environment variable without any problems? Believe me, I've tried, and it didn't work, so I need your help.

I don't know the application as well, but it seems strange they include dependencies like that. How and why did e.g. the ffmpeg get there? The software instructs to do so? Usually an appimage should include its needed dependencies, its a major purpose to be self-contained.

Again, without seeing the actual .desktop file, I have no clue. The tar.gz file that has the download included all those directories and files. They are created on the local system when the archive is extracted. It's not uncommon for applications to require additional resources other than the appimage.
