Help screen blank

Could it also be the nVidia driver that the kernel is using?
It could, I use these mandatory steps on KDE, but this is for KDE, don't know for Mint:

Bash:
sudo cat /sys/module/nvidia_drm/parameters/modeset

If the output is N (meaning it's not running in modeset mode) then enable it:

Bash:
echo options nvidia_drm modeset=1 | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/nvidia_drm.conf > /dev/null
sudo update-initramfs -u
systemctl reboot

NVIDIA driver is not older than version 495.44
Bash:
nvidia-smi | grep "Driver Version"

No, I don't have any lighter versions of those images for a printer, sorry.
I could make them lighter and send them to you via a pm.
Would that help?

Thanks. If they weren't important to the tutorial I wouldn't bother. Unfortunately, they are.

I finally got Mate to install correctly, at least everything is working so far. The "help" screens are still blank, but after six attempts at installing two different versions, three each using three different boot utilities I'm figuring that it will never work, regardless. No biggie; after all, I got y'all, right?

I've got contractors coming in the morning to do major renovation's, flooring and the like. I'll get back to you on this in 2-3 days.
