Never used an Arch derivative before EndeavourOS which was recommended to me to check out since I like lightweight distros and Puppy of course.
He knows his Linux so I installed it inside a VM (QEMU/KVM, 4G of RAM, 3 processors).

And I was in for a pleasant surprise and used it as a daily driver for 3 weeks straight. It's a jewel of an OS. It does everything and asks so little.
After boot with no apps or programs open it uses only nearly 800MB of RAM. That's Puppy territory, sort of.
It is fast and stable.
Only used it to watch movies and browse the internet and working on some boring offline stuff so nothing that produces high system loads or anything. It was as I'd be running this for years and yet it felt a bit different but not in a bad way.

And then there is the welcome screen...........usually while testing a distro for curiosity's sake the welcome screen is closed as as fast as I can. But since this was an Arch derivative I thought I'd keep it up and took a good look at it. Again a pleasant surprise. It has all sorts of information INCLUDING news that might be relevant for the health of your installation. It is a hub really. It points you in so many directions. A blessing for any 'newcomer'.

In conclusion: If you are a Linux user and would like to try something else besides Ubuntu and Debian based distros and you have hardware with specs on the lower side, give EndeavourOS a shot! You will not be disappointed.
I use Puppy and EasyOS only but I will admit I have a small USB drive with Endeavour on it with my collection of Pups. It's that good.

I have Endeavour on all three of my systems, the oldest of those being just under 5 years of age. Runs well on every one of them. It was enough to stop my distro-hopping (finally!)

Peace, finally :D It's nice to find 'your' OS. Endeavor is truly a great distro. Dot. Of all the 'bare metal' distros it is by far the fastest in my experience.

But it doesn't keep me away from Puppy and EasyOS.

I migrated from Manjaro to Endeavour a few months ago and it's been my daily driver since
