Hi all,

I want to create a mesh point using the following script:
sudo ip link set wlx90de80d9dd81 down
sleep 10
sudo ip addr flush dev wlx90de80d9dd81
sleep 10
sudo iw dev wlx90de80d9dd81 interface add mesh1 type mp
sleep 10
sudo ip link set mesh1 up
sleep 10
sudo iw dev mesh1 mesh join mymesh
sudo ip addr add 192.168.1.1/24 dev mesh1

However, for sudo iw dev mesh1 mesh join mymesh, I get "command failed: Operation not supported (-95)" error.

This is the result of "iw list" that shows my network card support mesh point. I will be grateful if you help me to fix it.

Thanks.

I do not find any solution yet for my problem. Let me to discuss more:
1- I installed backport driver version 5.11 https://backports.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/Releases, and I could create a mesh network. However, it does not support new driver of rtw88.
Then I switched to newer version.

2- I installed backport 5.13-5.15 https://backports.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/Releases that they support drivers of rtw88. However, I cannot create mesh network. Actually, I have problem with creating virtual interface based on my analysing.

I will be grateful if you help me to resolve the issue.

Thanks.
