chrome - task manager

when you open up chrome's horrible task manger, it doesn't sort the items by memory usage....so stupid. thats the only reason one wants to open task manager, to kill memory hog tasks....so stupid..

i don't have time to waste everytime when i open it to sort the columns.

can someone please describe how to fix this so it can be sorted by memory usage.

Odds are that you have a task manager that can be sorted by memory. If you're using Mint, you can add a panel applet that watches CPU but will open the task manager when clicked. You can sort that by memory by default. You can then see the highest Chrome processes and close them, which will unload those tabs from memory. The tabs still exist, they're just unloaded from memory.
