Change cursor's colour

G'day Rimutaka, Welcome to Linux.org

Which Linux are you using?

Generally, the colour of the mouse is dictated by the Theme in use....but this may vary ....widely.

From black to white is usually quite simple.

What did you have in mind?

Hi,

I am new to Linux and using Ubuntu Desktop 20.04.3 LTS

I would like to change existing cursor’s colour, white, to black one.

Regards,

The best way to get to know any of the linux/Ubuntu distros is to use them...navigate your way around them.

If you click on menu and type in theme

It is likely the mouse pointer adjustment is located there

Just click on it and, it should give you a choice for white or black mouse...it may even give you a choice of size.

I cannot answer you definitively because I do not run that particular distro.

Dont be afraid to explore.

I think you have to install gnome-tweaks and then it's under 'appearance'.

Here, I'll make you a screenshot:

Those are the default cursor choices. You can find and install more, but that's where you change them.

Yup, as far as I know, you have to install gnome-tweaks in order to change the cursor. When you opt to use GNOME, you're buying into the whole GNOME way of doing things. (Which is a fine choice for some.)
