New Mint22 installation on desktop with SSD. Fully updated. Attempting to pair and connect BOSE QC45 headphones. They pair and when I try to connect them they connect and then disconnect 4 seconds later. "Failed to connect; org. bluez.Error. Failed br-connection-profile-unavailable".

At first the device didn't even show up on the search list so I added it via MAC address. Still no joy. I read trouble shooting procedures and uninstalled and re-installed and tried other suggestions (can't remember them all, I am newby). So i tried to use the command line approach and still could not get headphones to stay connected. Is this a common issue or maybe one just with bose? What can I do? I've spent literally hours on this, the first action since trying to get the hang of linux. Thanks, Brian

G'day Brian, welcome to linux.org

Which Mint do you have installed....22 or 22.1 ..?

Brian

Thanks guys. These headphones have a wired option which is better quality anyway. -BA

Bose works with my Ubuntu 24.04 currently. I wonder why Mint would have this issue (for me and some others anyway) and not Ubuntu. I rather like Ubuntu anyway so I think I will stick with it for now.

Recent software update package fixed blueman issue and Bose now connect.
