That said, take a naked modern human and make them live in a swamp. Let's see how well they do at surviving.

There are all sorts of things that animals can do that we humans can't do nearly as well, from things like their sense of smell or their ability to see entire swaths of the spectrum that our human eyes can't see.

Those who are not Australian or who have not seen/experienced the kangaroo......must wonder if they are as strong as depicted in the imgur pic or on youtube, etc
The 'roo in the imgur pic is a red 'roo (colour) a big one, and he is scary strong. What the circumstances were when that pic was taken, nobody knows. Was he angry/cranky ? who knows....

Another strong specimen...... Sam Neill. Born in northern ireland, taken to new zealand by his parents as a child, grew into a fine actor, loved by millions.
He became an honorary Aussie. One of us. No greater honour can be bestowed upon a man.

Put simply, Sam was fair dinkum. No lurking in the shadows, no bs. AS upfront as they come.
A gentle man with a heart of absolute gold, and a mind to match.

As for the 'roo, my understanding is that they'll lean back onto their tail while using their sharp clawed feet.

It is also my understanding that said attack will mess you up. (I believe stronger language may be more descriptive.)

Avoiding kangaroos is on my list of things to do.

The wife and I started our parenting adventure with twins (with pharmaceutical assist, after a frustrating stretch of infertility) then went on to add three more (one at a time) over the next few years. I cannot imagine (*) what it would have been like if number four had turned out to be numbers 4 through 8! Just finding a decent used seven seat van was an adventure.

* - Ha! Did you see me use "imagine" instead of "conceive" there?

There would need to be a well oiled operation similar to a military exercise just to get through one day !!

We have them in the US. There was at least one family that had a reality TV show. Then, we have religious people... Look up the 'Quiverfull' movement. Yes, they exist. They're real! I'm not sure how they think, but they're certainly thinking something.

Nothing wrong with having loads of kids - I have a friend who has ten (not sure how he can afford it, but they manage) and every one of them has grown up to be a great person. I just can't imagine having four at once (I guess it really is a clown car. ). I thought getting two on a BOGO sale was kind of a "trial by fire".
