Are PCIe power cables different if they are labeled type 3 or type 4?

So I bought a new graphics card and it turns out it needs 3 PCIe power cables and I only have 2, because I somehow lost the extras that came with the power supply. I pulled a power cable out of an older system but it says type 3 instead of type 4 on the connector. However the pins look exactly the same so I thought maybe since it's just for power delivery it wouldn't matter.

Thanks

Do you have Corsair PSU? From what I gathered, these types are internal Corsair designations.
PCI-E cables have only two physical types: 6-pin and 6+2 pin.

Yep, it's a Corsair power supply, and the older one is also a Corsair. They are both 6+2 pin, it just threw me off because one says type 4 and the other says type 3.
