Hi everyone, i just bought a 500GB Kingston SSD NV2 to boost my hp laptop 2020, but i need help to configure it, what are the steps to follow?. I'm running on linux mint 20.3 Cinnamon

I can only assume you are going to install one of the many Linux OS on it?...correct?
If that is correct, then do you intend to do a fresh install?....or do you have a Timeshift snapshot you intend to put on it...or perhaps a cloned copy of something...??

I don't think you'll need to do any configuration? During the install, pick 'whole disk' and it'll take care of the formatting, partitioning, and installing. If you're using Windows and wanting to dual boot then it'll be a bit different. You'll have to disable quick start for Windows and you may need to change things like the first booted drive.
