Somewhat of Linux newbie here. I upgraded to 18.10 a few days ago and now have WiFi speeds that are slowing me down at work.

Hello All,
I just installed Linux-mint on a desktop that I am setting up. I like the interface and all but there is one problem, I can't connect to my wifi here. I've ran:
sudo lsusb
sudo lspci
sudo lsmod
So, I got this problem yesterday. I was trying to connect to my WiFi network and it showed that there is no WiFi adapter. Today i was trying to fix the problem, but i know little to no programing, any help? I'm using ubuntu, The latest version.

Yesterday my laptop suffer from a bad superblock. (As I discovered later).
I fix my problem with this command:
(initramfs) fsck /dev/sdaX -y
And everything returned back to normal.
Everything except my wi fi. As you can see in the photo the output of :
inxi -Fxz...

i can't seem to get my wifi to work properly. The Wifi tab disappeared from settings and i can only connect via ethernet.

Just purchased a Thinkpad X201 that came installed with Mint. Great laptop. I was able to connect with guest password on my home network (did not have my network password). Then did an update and wifi stopped working. Ethernet works...
I just installed lubuntu 16.10, replacing the previous Ubuntu 16.04 installation (which in turn replaced Windows XP). I'm running a Gateway MA3 with an AMD Turion 64 CPU @ 2GHz, and 1GB of DDR2 RAM. My NIC is a Broadcom BCM 4311 802.11b/g WLAN (14e4:4311).
