agreed. I read the article earlier today and I was surprised and impressed with that feature. not enough to buy a pixel phone, but it's still neat.

in the article I read earlier, it mentioned that he was not read his rights and was barred from legal council. that's a violation and not a good look for the Feds. I rather suspect that they dont have a strong case against him and tried to strong-arm things their way (I dont see this comment as political, but commenting on the legality of his detainment).

You sound pretty funny constantly trying to wriggle out of the "no politics" rule when you're the one who started this political thread. Then you reply in a political way anyway, just wrapping it in quotation marks as if that somehow makes it any less against the forum rules. (laughing face emoji - missing in this forum, lol)

I read the first post, and quite honestly, it’s not too dissimilar to Find My on the iPhone.

iPhone has some similar feature, but don't quote me on that

yup! Same with most other stuff with find My.
Device theft protection. But it’s only remote, unlike how Graphine does it. I’d like to try Graphine someday. Need to find an older Pixel Pro in a few years.

In the reply box, click on the hamburger menu at the top (stacked dots) and you'll see, among others such as quote, code, et al, the very first one, a smiley face. Click on that and you get a variety of emojis, including a laughing face.

There are many hundreds of emojis in many icon packs. It's more trouble than it's worth to try to include all of them in a forum reply window, at least IMO.

Not sure what limitations might be imposed by the forum software but, yeah, I've occasionally been frustrated by the lack of just the right emoji. I sometimes resort to old school "emoticons" or some of the other <wink> styles of expression, but some folks don't understand those and some software disallows the angle brackets in order to prevent HTML injections.

EDIT: and some software automatically converts the semicolon right-paren sequence to a winking emoji, as happened above.
