Running the application

• Compatible with Linux Mint 22.3 Cinnamon — you are good to go

• Runs a one-time on-demand scan to detect and remove malware, viruses and other threats

• No installation required — simply download, make the file executable and run the scan





Quick setup steps for Linux Mint:

1. Download the KVRT file from the link above

2. Open your Terminal and navigate to the download folder

3. Make it executable by running: chmod +x kvrt

4. Run the scan: ./kvrt

(In Linux Mint, simply right click on the downloaded file, and select Properties >>> then select Permissions and at the bottom mark the "Allow executing file as a program box" with a tick. Then double click the file There is an agreement to tick three times, then Start Scan)

The end result on mine was:

Kaspersky was my first AV when using Windows, back then there was no MS defender and Kaspersky was simply the best, but it was real resource hog.

OK, I had to download it from the Netherlands but I balked when I was asked to check "I am aware and agree that my data will be handled and transmitted (including to third countries)...." Belarus? North Korea? Um, no thanks Kaspersky. I'm sure it's all on the up-and-up but I can get by without this risk. Thanks CondoBloke for posting this though, sorry if I cast a little shade on your OP.

i think they mean malware samples.
thats how they do it (send samples to kaspersky , bit-defender - norton etc)
