I am switching to linux for our systems here and I am looking at some creative software solutions. I think KdenLive is great for video work, Audacity for audio recording, and RapidRaw for photo edits. I am looking for other suggestions. I would want something for processing the audio to create the podcasts. Also, I have lots of affinity designer files and would like to be able to use them somehow as well. I know that somone forked affinity's new software with Linux so that might be an option.

Also, if anyone knows some photo software that I can take advantage of Lightroom presets and LUTs that would be greatly appreciated as well.

I don't do video-editing but I've heard DaVinci Resolve is better.

And it seems film studios are also using it for editing many movies.

There's a script to use Affinity on Linux with wine.

Thanks. Resolve is basically too powerful for our needs, that's why I am thinking Kdenlive would be a lighter easier option. Awesome to know I can get Affinity working on linux as well.

Hi, I am circling back to this for a minute. Is there software out there that can fully edit Adobe illustrator files? I tried on inkscape but the text graphics I wanted to change vectors to individual letters instead of being able to just backspace the text like I can on affinity designer. Any help would be appreciated.
