When trying to install nvidia drivers on Debian system is not booting and seems to freeze. Freeze happens when it shows config failed, hub doesn't have any ports err. Also had a really hard time disabling neaouvo default video driver. Tried both non-free (550) nvidia driver and latest .run (580) driver from nvidia
What has worked so far: Emergency mode with X11.
Currently using Arch and would like to use a Debian based system, since some apps i use don't have official packages for Arch and would prefer that. No issues so far with Arch based would just want the official packages and more guarantee for stability in the long run. Considering the official packages more security comes to mind.
Is this a common issue and do you guys know how to fix this? Wont be using X11 just Wayland
