Hi everyrone,
This probably could have been made into seperate posts, however I believe the issues are at least somewhat similar in type as well as skill level.
The first problem I have with my Acer Chromebook running Linux Lite (however I had the same issues with GalliumOS), is that after using the computer for awhile, the internet no longer works, and I have to restart. I have tried the simple things, such as resetting the network driver from a terminal etc., and I have found no other solution than simply restarting.
The other issue I have, which I assume is a physical hardware issue, is I cannot boot from the hard drive within the chromebook, and my only solution to this was having a usb that is mounted at /boot.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

there are many articles telling how to set up linux on a chromebook , did you follow one of these?
to successfully install linux on a chromebook you have to do it in developer mode..

now the wi-fi
open a terminal , enter inxi -N [inxispace-N] copy and past the results back here

Yes I have everything configured with SeaBIOS.

My output to inxi -N:
Device-1: Intel Wireless 7265 driver: iwlwifi

the wireless looks ok,
even the most basic chromebook [1gb ram 16gb hd] should run Linux lite ok, and as it runs live from a pen-drive there is no good reason you cant install and run from the harddrive, [albeit you may have to do some tweaking]

That wireless card should work well. It is the same one I use here. So there is something causing it to disconnect. I'm not familiar with linux lite enough to know what network manager system they are using but can only hint at what may be the cause. If you can configure the connection here are a couple things you need to look for. 1. disable or ignore IPV6 2. If it has a sleep mode for the wireless card disable that.. Some machine put the wireless card to sleep after a set time to save battery.
Good luck.
