Hi guys

This is my last resort. Been tring to install Kali for a long time. Watched loads of videos on youtube, searched for info online. Tried some of the advices that I found but nothing is working. Even updated BIOS is not helping.
I have tried few different thumb drives (sandisk, kingston, rundisk)
Kali linus live, Kali linux install, Linux Mint (cinnamon), Linux Zorin (lite)
Used two different programs to create bootable usb stick. RUFUS and BalenaEtcher
With Rufus burned image as ISO and as DD
In the BIOS turned ON and OFF (legacy support, secure boot, TPM) And this BIOS is very POOR. Can't do much in there.
Multiple variations - nothing.

Basically no matter what distro I try to install the same or the similar story...

Kali linux Live:
Loads the menu -> select Kali linux live -> starts loading the dragon logo... That blue edge around the dragon loads VEEEEERY slowly (roughly 5min) until dragon becomes blurry and stops. If I press ESC I cant see any errors.

Kali linux Install:
Loads the menu -> select the country-> select the language -> select keybord -> starts "detect and mount installation media" process... And that's where it stops.
Cant'e press ESC and check what the error is

Linux Mint (cinnamon):
Loads the menu -> select instalation -> loads the Linux Mint logo and STOPS. After pressing ESC: Initramfs unpacking failed: decoding failed

Linux Zorin (lite):
Loads the menu -> select instalation -> loads the Zorin Logo and STOPS. After pressing ESC: some genereal errors (see the photos)

No matter what setings I change in BIOS no matter what USB stick I use, no matter what program I use - outcome always the same.
And by the way... distros and usb stick are good. Because I've tried them on my another computer.

Hp Envy 15-ah151sa
Win 10 (all updates)
The rest of the info in the BIOS photos

Thanks in advance for everyone

Instead of the "Graphical Installer", try the other install option. If that doesn't work, when you see the menu, select one the "Installer" options and press tab. Then remove quiet from the by using backspace, then press enter to boot and see if it comes with any with any other useful information as in why it hangs there.

Hi and thanks for your message.
I have tried multiple times to do the way you said but it looks like it's a little bit different...
I'm not getting any aditional information from doing this.
Maybe I'm just doing it wrong... So I took a quick video and uploaded to my google drive.

You might try the
Code:
noapic
or even the
Code:
nomodeset
boot parameters.

Also - if that machine has Windows 10 on it make sure to shut down Windows and then restart the machine before trying to install.

You can search for those terms and get exact directions for using them.

We expect you to put some effort in, as a general rule. When in doubt, a search engine is your friend.

In this case, those are parameters added to boot. You'll see... "How do I use nomodeset?" for example.

Oh... Too late. I thought no one have red it :D I've searched for the info and the result is...

noapic
Didn't load the instalation menu. Just slowly loaded these errors 20210402_000906.jpg and stoped. "Unable to enumerate USB device"

nomodeset
loaded the instalation menu (like it should be) and stuck at the same place as always... At media detection phase

The whole internet is full of error 110 Everyone says the same (not enough power or too much power for usb port) but the only solution to this issue is disconnect power supply, disconnect usb, wait few min, reconnect and magic happens. I've even tried connecting all USB ports - no luck.
But its quite strange because I have never had any issues with usb ports except linux instalation. And even linux instalation... at first it detects usb and loads the menu and then.... Problem... Strange.

Is there already another OS running on this machine such as Windows and what CPU is that system using? Also what type of usb version is your usb device v2 or v3 and what version are you laptop's usb ports? Trying booting with this parameter, so where you removed the quiet, usbcore.old_scheme_first=1. Another option would be to buy a usb disk that has it's owner power supply but no garrantees that it would work.

Win 10 64bit installed, but I want to get rid of that WIN and leave onli Linux

AMD A10-8700P Radeon R6, 10 Compute
Cores 4C+6G (more detailed info is in one of the bios photos)

I'm thinking about getting an external DVD drive with it's owned power supply.
One more idea. I have 1TB external HDD with it's owned power supply. Would it be possible to make it as a bootable HDD (same as I did with USB sticks)

I've 3 USB flash drives at the moment all three with different distros. USB2 & USB3
Laptop has USB2 ports only.

quiet, usbcore.old_scheme_first=1 made no difference. Loaded instalation menu, language, keyboard selection and stuck on detecting media.
I can't chack for errors because I can't open the terminal when instalation starts

Yes it would be possible.

G'day @VieedeG and welcome to linux.org :)

You would prepare the external drive first, by formatting it to Ext4, and if yours is a UEFI laptop, using GPT over MBR.

You could install the Linux Distro of your choice to that drive, and reset the BIOS InsydeH20 Setup Utility to boot first from that external drive.

Once you have a working Linux Distro, you can eliminate Windows from the laptop and put whatever you like on it.
