Hi everyone! Hope you're all having a nice life! :)

Learning Vi/Vim is one of those goals most Linux users have, myself included, however, the learning curve is quite steep if you want to really fully take advantage of all which this editor has to offer. Recently, while searching for some sources, tutorials, guides on Vi/Vim, I found this thread on stackoverflow, and now I'm sharing here for all of you who use this editor and want to improve your knowledge, and even if you don't use it, you'll find that a very nice, pleasant, informative and educative reading. Enjoy. :)

IMHO, Vi/Vim's keyboard shortcuts are not the issue, but learning its "language"; all the possible commands' combinations you can use to do all sort of stuff.

I'm still learning vim myself, from my understanding about vim is that you just have to learn the language. Then you get to choose which way you want to get the task whatever seems most convenient to you, for example jumping to the beginning of line you may find it easier to use ^ but I may find it easier to use 0 and same goes for all the other tasks that you can do with vim. I know vim is more than about keyboard shortcuts but I thought it was a fun vim game to share.

Vim also has a builtin help program called vimtutor, just open a terminal and type it in ;)
