Hello, I've been stuck on this screen for the past 2 hours, and I'm not sure what I should do now?

I'm trying to install Ubuntu 24 dual boot with windows 11
Laptop: ROG Zephyrus 14

Steps I took:
1. Used Rufus to partition my 7.2GB Thumbdrive

2. Partition in Windows Hard disk management (values are like 500GB to Windows and 360GB unallocated if i remember correctly)

3. Picked UEFI Partition 1 on start up

4. Picked "Try or Install Ubuntu"

5. Now I'm stuck in the boot screen :(

Welcome to the forums
did you read any of the guides available,?

did you dissable windows fast boot/quickstart in the UEFI/BIOS and do a full power reboot [not a windows re-start] before you started.

Hi!
No, but I followed this Tutorial

Don't use MBR for partition scheme, use GPT and for target system use UEFI.
Everything else looks OK, when you get asked whether to use dd method or the other one choose dd.
Thanks, I think this worked. Its there any reason why MBR doesn't work for my case?

Instead of going to "try or install Ubuntu" I picked Ubuntu (safe graphics) then once i loaded into Ubuntu, I installed it, then ejected my Thumbdrive.

I am very dubious of U-tube how to vids, you may find a good one or two but on the whole many are inaccurate and some can be down right dangerous

Finding one that actually works!
