Trouble Installing Systemback

Eddie, my advice would be to not install it.

Systemback was authored by and maintained by a fellow named Kendek. He has not released a version in two (2) years, the last being supported in Ubuntu 16.10 'Yakkety Yak'. That was v1.5.

Releases since provided by other sites have to be regarded with caution, and installing from a tarball will not assure you of updates, and is difficult to remove if you find it does not meet your requirements.

You might be better off with a combination of Aptik and Timeshift.

Cheers

I have found a way to install Systemback. I have used it b4 while being Unsupported & it has worked fine w/ no problem while using Ubuntu 16.04. It should still work fine on 18.04 too. I have noticed that it backs up faster then Timeshift does. Sorry if this upsets yens.

Nothing upsets me..(except for running out of beer....)

I have found that the best combination for me is Timeshift and Clonezilla

:)
