use
UNETBOOTIN
(only because I am familiar with it)
download it.
Open it...it will look like....
Click on Diskimage......then on the three little dots on the right hand side of the page.......click on the download of Linux....the location of it will then be shown in the white box..(the program will now know where to locate it)
on the bottom line, usb drive is already selected......the
Drive you
MUST choose carefully (otherwise you will wipe another drive on your pc)...just make double sure).....
Click on ok. Have a cup of coffee. Relax. It may take 10 minutes...maybe less
Then....reboot your pc and you will need to set the usb as the drive to Boot from...Could be a good idea to sort this out before you start...so that you know what to do when you get to that stage
Once you have Linux up and running...play with it as much as you like...you will not break it......click everywhere !!
If you do happen to break it, just reboot, and start again
Running from a usb, Linux will be a bit slower than if it was installed.
