The system initially booted up correctly after installing Wi-Fi and NVIDIA drivers and restarting. But after running updates with sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade, and then restarting once more, the system is now getting stuck during boot.

Hmm...

What happens if you press CTRL + ALT + F3? Can you log in and maybe try 'startx' to see if it starts?

The system booted up, but the screen resolution changed to 800x600 pixels

Remove the NVIDIA driver and reboot.

Glad it's sorted. You can edit your first post and change the drop down to say that this has been solved.

Knowing how to access a TTY and access the system that way can be a pretty useful troubleshooting step.
