[Solved] Tor on Mint 20

[Kotb]

Tor gives the messages that another instance of Tor is running
I even removed Tor and installed fresh and still gives the same message and refuses to start

Help!

Have you tried killing Tor through the Task Manager?

I uninstalled it
The new installation does not display onthe menu but only in a folder under Home

That is because it does not install it is a stand alone there should also be an .desktop file with that folder this is used to open the browser

But it does not show under Internet in the main menu

You can probably add it to the Menu through the Menu Editor.
Right click on the Menu button and select Configure>Menu>Open the menu editor>Internet>New item.
