Share your hardware setups

No thanks, I'll pass.

At the time when I installed Mint on the HP dual booting with W 8.1 I had stuff I needed to run. Just been to lazy to rid it. That laptop I boot to Mint, go to bank, Pay utilities, sign off. Used exclusively dedicated for that.

i have a laptop and so hardware is as it came - if i shared the specs and thus price range i went for - you guys would then be asking "how far North of England does that guy come from - does he wear a Kilt ?'

My desktop system has changed since I last posed this. I changed recently updated my ram and my graphics card:
- G.Skill Aegis F4-3200C16D-32GIS x2 (64G)
- ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3090 OC
And I'm currently running Fedora with my setup.

Even my newest desktop is 9 years old. :p

I built my Tower back in 2013...the only things I've replaced are the power supply (failed) and HDD to SSD.

Motherboard: Gigabyte socket 1150 handles 32GB of RAM
CPU... Quad Core model: Intel Core i5- min/max: 800/3600 MHz socket 1150
Graphics... NVIDIA GT218 [GeForce 210] vendor: Gigabyte driver: nouveau
RAM... 16GB DDR 3 2X 8GB sticks speed: 1600 MT/s each
Power Supply... Corsair 650W
Case... Cool Master N300 with 2 USB 3 ports at front and some USB 2 ports at the back...I added a 120mm fan to the top and a card reader with USB 3 port. Case came with 3.5” Drive Bays...had to buy several SSD brackets to fit SSDs.
1 Asus DVD Burner
1 Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SSD which replaced my 500GB HDD about 3 years ago

I always buy the biggest case possible...so there's plenty of room to move things in and out. I always buy Name brands...my power supply lasted 6 years.

I do have two SSDs and one HDD in the case but only one SSD running as I only use one at a time.
