I'm using Zorin, I need a safe way to practice in terminal so I don't make any happy little mistakes and brick my computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I remember about some terminal learning programs in the software center. They usually come with a safe environment I think, but just check before you do if you choose to go that route. I have to check the one on my Surf'.

A VM is the way to go...not only for getting use to the Terminal but testing new software and other Distros too.

Just a little brainstorming...

You could also create a Live USB of, say, Zorin, and conduct your experiments from there. Install Timeshift on there, have Timeshift storage set up on an external drive, and then you have yourself covered.

Just a thought,

Alrighty- what I have on the Surf' is Terminal Fun. I'd say that in a live environment should be just fine.
