It's not a case of Repair or Replace...
It's a case of finding out what wifi chip you have and installing the correct driver for that.
Unfortunately my experience is that the same make and model of laptop can have different wifi cards put in by Dell.
Open a Terminal and issue the command: lspci
What is listed against Network Controller?
If lspci does not work, open a Terminal and issue the command: lsusb
